despite 3 years in kl, there are only a few precious things that i miss much about the place. and top of the list has got to be the picture above.
yes, that’s the sunset view from my bedroom window of the condo unit that i rented for 3 years. masya allah punyalah gorgeous, dont you think?
so anyway, have met up with K from MJ the sofa interior company. K went over for a short stop at my place yesterday morning to see the chair and the large cushion that i plan to use for the nikah. Vair fast kan?
he said that he’s able to customise the cushions accordingly. phew.
hope to get pelamin nikah diy settled by october.
after doing some simple calculations, (i’m not the brightest crayon in the box when it comes to maths, by the way), i realised that it would be an utter waste of money to customise all the cushions. Must be prudent & stick to the budget. much thanks to the JL sale at the expo, i bought 9 off white cushion covers at a low price of $3.90 each. Cheap! will look out for the perfect shade of grey next. only turquoise ones will be customised cos the colour should be consistent throughout; deco makan nikah, pelamin nikah, bridal room, hantaran, as well as the ribbons.
instead of getting the curtains done, we’ll buy the dark grey curtains at ikea or somewhere. it’ll be cheaper that way. as long as the curtains tak look ‘oh goodness! what were you thinking??”, it’s pretty much something that everyone knows it’s there but nobody goes “oh wow! such exquisite curtains” – you get what i mean?
last night we started looking around for a nice shade of grey for our bedroom walls. we kinda like ash grey. not too pale a white, yet it will still bring out the colours in our room; the whites (the furniture and the flowers); the light cream/off whites (the duvet covers, carpet and some cushions); and the turquoise (the larger cushions, the pictures above the bed, the table runners and the chair).
grey, as youcan see (or rather, imagine) has an important role to play – the supporting actor/actress that is key in bringing all the colours look put together and in harmony :p
oh i’m such a nutcase *grins*
here’s the ash grey that we are considering. by nippon paint.
