Baju nikah!

We collected his tailored baju melayu for the nikah last weekend.

And when i came home tadi, mum said that the ladies from manja kata my baju nikah dah siap *yeay* on time on target!

Next, to complete the nikah set – find songket for him & tudung for me.

Dah pun 99% finalised stuff with the lolas. I have faith i’m trusting the right people to help me with things and ensure it’ll go smoothly.

Not expecting perfection. I’m prepared for a few hiccups here and there… But i’m sure that the awesome things + atmosphere + family + close friends will far outweigh the hiccups (whatever they may be) hee!

the mr surprised me on friday night we were whatsapping each other. all the while i thought he was on his way home or something. little did i know he was actually under my block! macam scenario romeo and juliet gitu when i ran to my window and saw him downstairs waving at me *giggles*

i brought down some food (rice + some lauk) and we had our dinner di kolong blokku. romantik tak? romantik tak?? hurhur.

and then, the highlight of the night, he whipped out the three instant win stubs from McD! the ones that we have been collecting together for the past month. since the next day would be the last day we could redeem the free instant wins, he thought it would be nice if we could eat ‘em sama-sama.

the night was cool and breezy. definitely the perfect reason to walk to McD and back home + great conversation + the mr. bliss

and the next day, mum, sisters and i went over to Manja to send our fabrics. All baju yang kena-mengena dengan wedding. checked! almost, cos i belum hantar the mr’s baju nikah to be tailored. this week, perhaps, since he’ll be on leave this entire week.

I know i’ve been saying i want chiffon. Choosed georgette eventually cos it looks better with the lace. A trip to Manja beckons! Off to joo chiat next weekend with the family

today will be

a long day. but a good one it’ll be

last weekend’s trip to arab street didnt materialise. will be meeting my mum and sisters for a shopping trip at arab street today instead. beli kain galore

pink for the ladies, maroon for the men. off white for the bride and groom.

and dinner with the extended family later tonight. i love family time

and stumbled upon a website for cards. there are so many pretty pretty ones out there. but i shant make myself dizzy. shall leave that in the hands of my 3rd sis, the designer

workwise, in the midst of busy busy. we are halfway there.

so far, it has been 99% confirmed that that i’ll be busy with work a week before our nikah. mesti serabut. can already foresee i need to complete all wedding related by december. cos january will be busy with endless meetings both in school and outside school. i can already expect prep for the ’99% confirmed end-of-january indonesia internationalisation project’ to be underway by mid january. once that is done, all i wanna do is rest, sleep, rest my mind and whathaveyous on the week we’ll nikah.

after nikah, must immediately start on the 2nd internationalisation project for the year. the next one will be from japan. cos nikah will be on the 12th and the japanese will be coming on the 22nd. and the preps for the Common Test in between. and i bet there’ll be ‘meet the parents sessions’ smack in between all these.

and dont think i’ll have it easy for the reception in march either. i can safely bet that preps for the school’s speech day will be under way apart from keying in the Common Test results, remarks and the usual end of term stuff.

yes, it’s only october 2011.. here i am yakking away about the upcoming 2012′s schedule. and it’s not even about the wedding preps.

a reminder to self that i need to complete the itty gritty matters by this year end. avoid last minute shopping. everything need to be ready by december. should there be other additional things that i might need, i need to make a list of the miscellaneous items that i can trust my sisters/family/close friends to source or scout for me.

this saturday, to arab street we’ll go. to buy the materials since mum will be attending a seminar in the area on that day.

finally made the call

finally made the call to kelvin from may june interior last night. he’ll be popping by later this evening to discuss how we are able to get the tufted cushions done, and other customised turquoise cushion covers specially for the bridal room and pelamin nikah.

lets get this part done by this month and next month, mr and i can make a trip to sff plentong to collect the backdrop for the pelamin nikah. the backdrop will be recycled and turned into day curtains for our future home.

and a trip to arab st with my mum and aunt this weekend to buy materials for baju nikah and all.

hello everyone!

ms h has been busy past week. it has been a mad mad rush of the N level prelims, the sec 2s and 3s common tests, the O level prelims, keying in of results, meetings, the presidential election duty and such all rolled into one.

now that semua tu dah pun selesai, i can finally start on the raya preps today. yes, today.

the mr are finally going down to bazaar geylang later in the afternoon to find his capal, his songkok, her tudung and some stuff for our bridal room. this will both be our first trip to the bazaar geylang for the year.

will be recycling baju raya last year since it has only been worn twice. yes, twice. only twice.

what i need now are the tudung and shoes. thats all.

thank goodness in 2010 i chose the classic kain songket baju kurung pahang over the trendy lace + songket baju kurung moden. classic ones are here to stay.

but chuck not your kurung moden + songket. can always replace the songket with kain chiffon… cos that is how my baju nikah will be lace + chiffon. chic elegance.
